16.5 million passengers were handled at Warsaw Chopin Airport from January to the end of November 2018. It is a number higher by almost 13 percent than a year ago. This means another record – during eleven months of this year, more people have used the services of the capital port, than during the entire 2017 (15.8 million).
At Warsaw Chopin Airport a record is chasing a record
From January to November, the number of travelers in international traffic increased significantly (by 17.7 percent), compared to the same period of the previous year. There were 14.9 million of them in total. Transit traffic is maintained at approx. 30 percent level.

In November, 1.3 million people have been handled at Warsaw airport. It's 10.5 percent more than a year ago. The results indicate that at the end of December - for the first time in history – Warsaw Chopin Airport will have handled more than 17 million travelers.

- Such a large number of passengers in 2018 is a huge success - says Piotr Rudzki from the PR Office. - The result achieved clearly confirms that the Warsaw airport is a leader in the region. We are also pleased that more and more travelers perceive our airport as a convenient transfer point. This means that we are effectively implementing a strategy for the development of transit traffic - adds Piotr Rudzki.

An additional attraction has been launched in November at Warsaw Chopin Airport – not only for the passengers. "Polish Family Album" exhibition was opened in the capital airport, prepared on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of regaining of the independence of Poland by the “Niepodległa” Program Office in cooperation with the airport and PKN Orlen.

The exhibition consists of over 200 reproductions, including 150 portraits, 45 landscapes and 40 other important paintings for Polish culture. The largest element of the exhibition is 243 square meters, and the total area of the presented works is greater than 7 volleyball pitches.
