Nearly 12 million people have been handled at Warsaw Chopin Airport from January till the end of August 2018. This is an increase of 14 percent compared to the previous year. Almost 11 million passengers have travelled in the international traffic.
Nearly 12 million passengers at Warsaw Chopin Airport
The capital airport in 2018 records further, record-breaking results. In August 2018 alone, 1.9 million travelers used the services of Warsaw Chopin Airport. It's  an increase of 12.4 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

Growth in the international flight segment is particularly visible. In the first eight months of the past year, there were 10.7 million passengers in the international traffic (1.1 million in domestic traffic), of which 27% transit passengers. Throughout 2017, the share was at the 24% level.

In the first eight months of 2018, a total of 11.9 million passengers used the services of Chopin Airport. That's 14 percent more than a year earlier.

- All indications are that the position of the Warsaw airport as an attractive transfer point in this part of Europe is still growing - says Monika Zakrzewska, Director of Marketing and PR Office at Warsaw Chopin Airport. - This is the effect of an effective strategy for the development of transit traffic, whose accuracy shows the results of the increase in traffic at Warsaw Chopin Airport, as well as the company's financial results - adds Monika Zakrzewska.
