London City Airport is an airport located in London's docks (in the Royal Docks), lying close to the business and financial center of London - only 9.6 km from the City.
The timetable will allow passengers traveling on business from Warsaw, as well as from Vilnius, Kiev, Lviv, Riga, Bucharest, Larnaca, Tbilisi and most Polish regional airports, to travel within one day.
In addition, for passengers traveling from London, the new LOT connection is an interesting alternative for flights to many airports in Asia, such as Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing and Astana with a short and convenient transfer at Warsaw Chopin Airport.
Due to the relatively short runway and steep approach angle, flights to London City are complicated in operational terms. Only a few types of passenger aircraft are eligible for landing and take-offs at this location. To operate in London City LOT decided to acquire four new Embraer E-190 aircraft, which will be delivered to the Polish carrier by the end of the year directly from the factory in Brazil. The new E-190 will have 106 seats on board.
Currently, three carriers offer their services to London from Warsaw. London-Heathrow (LHR), the largest airport in Europe, from Warsaw can be reached by LOT (21 flights a week) and British Airways (18 connections a week) aircraft, while London Luton airport can be reached from Warsaw Chopin Airport with Wizz Air (24 flights a week).
