All persons entering the Terminal will have their temperature measured using thermal imaging cameras. People with symptoms of coronavirus infection (e.g. elevated body temperature - 38 degrees C and above), who will be identified by airport services, will not be allowed to enter the airport. People who have symptoms of illness are advised not to come to the airport.
Obligation to cover the mouth and nose
Persons entering the Terminal area are obliged to cover their mouth and nose until they leave the airport building. All users of Warsaw Chopin Airport are required to respond to the lack of use of personal protective equipment by persons staying inside the Terminal.
The use of masks or face guards is allowed at the airport.
The obligation to keep an appropriate distance is also upheld, especially in queuing zones, which should not be a problem, since there is appropriate signage.
New rules for moving around the Terminal
There are two entrances to the building in the CDE zone and one in the AB zone on the departures level. There will be one exit in the CDE for people exiting the Terminal.
On the arrivals level, there is one entrance for each zone, as well as one separate exit.
Important: inside the Terminal, the possibility of moving between the departure and arrival levels remains suspended, in accordance with the guidelines of the EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) and the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate. Passengers can use elevators and staircases outside the building.
The passage from the railway station to the Terminal is still out of use.
Entry for airport employees is available on the arrivals level - Arrivals 1.
The nearest open observation deck is in Warsaw again
The observation deck has been reopened with aviation fans in mind. It is open from 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. The general sanitary rules are similar to those at the Terminal building – there is an obligation to cover the nose and mouth, and hand disinfection is recommended. For this purpose, dispensers with antibacterial liquid are available.
Moreover, smoking zones have been opened in the transit area. For epidemic reasons, only one person is allowed in smoking areas at one time.
