Bag wrap service now available at Chopin Airport
Warsaw, 29 January, 2009 – the service of baggage wrapping in protective foil is now available at Warsaw F. Chopin Airport allowing passengers to additionally protect their checked-in baggage from any possible damage. At passengers discretion their baggage may be tightly wrapped in tough plastic film.
„The bag wrap service is provided at many airports all around the world. The wrapping system available at our airport allows to seal also the oversize baggage being especially susceptible to damage during transport. Of course, passengers will use this service at their discretion”¬ – said Jakub Mielniczuk, the spokesman for PPL.
Wrapping in plastic film protects baggage from wetting, stops items opening whenever locks or clamps fail, and prevents tampering. Besides, upon arrival passengers can check whether their baggage remained untouched.
The system at Warsaw Airport – „A-500camp” – allows to wrap standard suitcases as well as non-standard baggage, such as golf sticks, surfing boards, etc.
The cost of wrapping of one item is PLN 25,- and the service is provided on the spot.
There are two baggage-wrapping points at the airport. One in T1 zone departure hall - to the left of the escalators leading to the mezzanine, the other in T2 zone departure hall by its north wall.
The bag wrap service is provided by SI.BA Polska Sp. z o.o., a member of SI.BA group, operating on international markets since 1984. SI.BA renders services at 19 airports in Europe.
